MCC4

This project was for phase 4 of the convention center in New Orleans. This was a collaberation of sorts between the firm I was with, Sizeler Architects and TVS in Atlanta.

My role in this was primarily coordination and management of documentation. It was an exciting time because the project involved so many people, so many firms and always so little time. We brought the poroject in well under the budget but it subsequently went into litigation with contractors protesting the bids. The project was finally formally droppped after Hurricane Katrina.

The project site was approviximately 15 acres with 1.75 million square feet contained in the building. The exihibit hall was 11 acres. It was determined that the footprint of the Super Dome could be contained in the exhibit hall.
